Karen Ni

Thanks for being here.

I'm a designer studying ethnic studies at UC Berkeley.

Today, I find myself spending most of my time learning about ways to use design thinking as a form of advocacy and an approach to problem solving so I can help tackle issues like racism, sexism and bias. My philosophy with design (and for a lot of things) is to create platforms for folks that center around their needs and work, and empower them to feel like they belong.

While at UC Berkeley, I led marketing and communications at the Associated Students of the University of California, provided tech support for the folks in the EECS Department, and supported pre-laws on campus with Kappa Alpha Pi.
